Distribution of Organics in Titan's Ice Shell

Collaboration with Josh Hedgepeth (University of Western Ontario) - To investigate the distribution and accessibility of organic compounds in relict water reservoirs on Titan we have simulated the thermochemical evolution of crater melt ponds. Constraining the quantity of organics entrained in the ice as the melt pond solidifies has important implications for their detectability and observational analysis by the upcoming Dragonfly mission, which intends to visit Selk crater.
